In order for every student to have the best experience possible, Hot Yoga Essex requests that everyone respects the etiquette of the practice room.
Thank you for taking time to read this.
- Please take off your shoes and place them in the area provided.
- Please arrive on time with around 15 minutes to prepare yourself before the class starts. Once a teacher begins, the class is closed.
- Please allow enough time before entering the yoga room for the previous class to exit.
- Please obey the silence of the yoga room.
- If you begin to feel ill, dizzy or faint try to drink water, sit and rest until the feeling passes. This is normal. If you feel you have to leave the room, please do so between postures and wait to return to the class between postures.
- Baseball caps, bags, food (including chewing gum) or electronics/mobile phones are NOT allowed in the yoga room. You will only need your mat, towel and bottle of water.
- No flavoured drinks in the yoga room as they stain or cause stickiness to the carpet. Water only.
- No glass allowed in the studio.
- Please wear the correct attire to class. You will need to wear clothing that is closefitting, breathable and lightweight. Avoid Baggy clothing. We recommend that women wear a short top and bottoms and men wear shorts.
- No shoes or socks are allowed in the yoga room.
- The front rows are for experienced Bikram Yoga students. If you choose to be in the front row remember you are an example to those behind you.
- Please avoid using aerosols, strong perfumes and body oils when visiting the studio. During class you have opened up your lungs and allowing strong toxins into your lungs isn’t good for you or others.
- Please be quick and efficient whilst in the changing rooms. Please do not shave in the showers.
- Valuables and possessions are left at the owner’s risk. We do provide secure lockers.
- Please respect all Hot Yoga Essex staff. We reserve the right to take necessary action if we deem somebody’s behaviour to be anti-social, rude or disrespectful.
